In this interesting STEAM project, students step into the roles of civil engineers to build a scaled model of a house or traditional Majlis using real concrete blocks. The learning begins with material science: students clean and separate sand using simple separation techniques, then mix it with cement and water using a precise ratio. With the help of a pressing mold provided in ProjoTech’s specialized kit (BrickLab), they shape and produce scaled concrete blocks. Once the blocks are dry, they 3D-print customized window or door frames and begin the exciting assembly phase constructing their own house or Majlis. As a final creative step, students decorate their structure using paints inspired by cultural and personal themes. Students explore engineering principles, construction techniques, sustainability, and artistic expression throughout the process. This hands-on project offers an inspiring blend of science, technology, creativity, and cultural relevance building structures and young minds.
